How to change printer ink cartridges?

You have to keep it in your mind that every printer is different, especially when it comes to changing your printer ink cartridges. The printer manufacturers make their printers a bit unique so that you have to buy their cartridges only. Therefore, it is quite obvious that changing the ink may vary slightly with each printer. However, there are some common factors, which are just the same for every printer.

You have to change the ink cartridges from the inside of the printer. There are either four different cartridges like black, magenta, cyan and yellow or two cartridges like black and a tri-color for you to change inside the printer. You have to open the top of the printer and look for many black boxes. Then push a button to slide the black boxes so that you can reach them. Once the cartridges are open, you can remove the empty cartridges. After you have removed the ink cartridges from the printer, you should check if it is free of residue. If you can see some ink residue inside the printer, use a clean cloth to wipe it away. If you don’t wipe away the old ink residue, it can clog up the ports for the new set of ink cartridges and in turn cause problems in the future. Now your printer is ready to install the new printer ink cartridges. Once you have replaced each of the printer ink cartridges, close the printer up.
